In high school, I gravitated naturally toward wood shop and construction electives, where I discovered how much I enjoyed hands-on learning and bringing ideas into reality. Wanting to build a strong foundation in the trade, I enrolled in the CET – Building Renovation program at Mohawk College, graduating in 2016. I began my career with a local residential developer, where I was involved in every essential stage of construction from initial site servicing to the completion of multiple full-scale developments.

After gaining extensive experience in new construction, I transitioned into home renovations, where attention to detail and problem-solving truly matter. I quickly became a lead carpenter working with two high-end renovation companies, earning a reputation for quality craftsmanship, reliability, and pride in the finished product.

Over the years, I developed a strong working relationship with Jordan. We shared the same vision, work ethic, and passion for the industry. Outside of our full-time roles, we were managing renovation projects from start to finish together. It became clear that our combined skills, hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and leadership gave us a unique advantage.

In 2023, we founded Hidden Valley Homes with one clear goal: to create exceptional living spaces while delivering a renovation experience homeowners can trust. Having both spent years as lead carpenters on the tools, we understand what’s behind the walls, not just what looks good on the surface. That experience allows us to anticipate challenges, solve problems efficiently, and ensure every project is built accordingly.

Today, Hidden Valley Homes is built on craftsmanship, transparency, and dedication. With a trusted network of high-quality trades and a genuine passion for what we do, we are proud to help homeowners bring their dream spaces to life, and we’re excited to continue building a brand that reflects our commitment to excellence.

I then later pursued studies in Police Foundations, further developing a strong foundation in discipline, leadership, and risk management skills that continue to influence my approach to construction supervision and jobsite safety.

During the summer of 2016, I joined a high-end residential renovation team and fell in love with altering homes to achieve a homeowner’s dream. Over the past decade, I have built a reputation in the high-end residential renovation sector as a Lead Carpenter on the tools for 7 years, completing structural alterations to the final piece of trim being installed. I then took the role as a Site Supervisor for 3 years, responsible for managing complex projects from demolition through completion. Working closely with skilled trades, designers, and project managers, ensuring projects are executed with precision, efficiency, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Working alongside Nigel, it didn’t take long to realize that we shared the same passion for the work we do. From the beginning, we both appreciated the craft involved in transforming residential homes and the satisfaction that comes from bringing new life to existing spaces.

What stood out the most was a shared commitment to doing things the right way and approaching each renovation with care, attention to detail and respect for the homeowner’s vision. We both believe that a successful project isn’t measured only by the finished product, but by the experience the homeowners have throughout the process.

Seeing a project evolve from the early stages of demolition and planning into a completed space that families can truly enjoy is one of the most rewarding parts of the job. That shared mindset, with taking pride in the work, valuing quality craftsmanship and ensuring homeowners are genuinely happy with the final result, had quickly become the foundation of our working relationship.
